About Luann
Luann Mausser, LMT, CLT, PTA, MMT, Certified Orthopedic Therapist. She has been a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals along with being Nationally Licensed since 2003. After graduating from Carlson College of Massage Therapy in Stone City, IA in 2003, she pursued a passion that she doesn't consider “a job” but a profession that she truly loves.
Training
Luann has trained with many of the world’s top instructor’s including Aaron Mattes, Erik Dalton, David Kent, George Kouseleous and James Waslaski. Since 2007 she has been a Teaching Assistant for James Waslaski. She also does Active Isolated Stretching techniques which release tight tendon and ligaments, restoring range of motion to the joints in the body. Luann is a Certified Lymphatic Therapist from Klose Training in Boulder, Co. and Physical Therapist Assistant graduating from Kirkwood Community College in 2017.
Experience
Luann specializes in Active Isolated Stretching, Deep Tissue, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial, Orthopedic, Pregnancy, Sports and Swedish massage. She has provided massage in Chiropractic offices, Nursing Homes, Churches, Corporations and National and Worldwide sporting events doing therapeutic massage tailored to the needs of the individual client. She has also worked on patients with Cerebral Palsy, Rett Syndrome, stroke patients along with various medical conditions such as: arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, frozen shoulder, whiplash, post-surgery massage, plus many others.
Career Highlights
Her career highlights include being a TA on three massage cruise ship retreats, doing sports massage for the University of Iowa Girls’ Track & Cross Country, Soccer Teams and currently Women’s Field Hockey and she worked with world class athletes at the Hawaii Ironman in October, 2010 and 2012. In 2020 she provided massage at XPESPORTS in Ft. Lauderdale, FL working with NFL Draft athletes training for the Football Combine.
Additional Interests
Luann has three awesome children and two beautiful grandchildren. In her free time she lift weights, rides her bike, jogs, travels and does decorating and landscaping projects. She thanks God every day for the talents He has given her and the people and opportunities He has placed in front of her. Her hope is that the lives that she touches will also provide the strength and hope that will improve their quality of life as well, be it physical, emotional or spiritual.
